Vital For Colorado is a group whose pledge states "We Support Responsible Oil and Natural Gas Development and We Oppose Energy Bans and Patchwork Regulations."

In the March 30th, 2018 Daily Camera article, Vital For Colorado has spent $55,000 in support of mayoral candidate Dan Woog and Trustee candidates Barry Luginbill, MacKenzie Ferrie, and Liz Locricchio.

In the Fall 2017 elections, Vital For Colorado also supported or opposed candidates and ballot measures in municipalities with oil and gas and mineral rights issues, such as Aurora, Broomfield, and Thornton.

Controversy

Erie Town Clerk Nancy Parker resigned in mid-March 2018 amid reports that she employed favoritism while going through the process of establishing candidate name order on the ballot, among other concerns. A claim that the name drawing was moved up a full week without the required 24-hour notice to candidates, and possibly using different sizes of paper for drawing names.

The Weld County District Attorney's office investigated claims and concluded no charges will be filed.
