Ballot Issue 3A Mill Levy Override
"Shall Rangely School District RE-4 taxes be increased by the amount of $706,333 in tax collection year 2018, by imposing a new property tax levy at a rate of 2.67 mills, and by an amount to be determined annually thereafter by continuing to impose such property tax levy at a rate not to exceed 2.67 mills, for educational purposes to be approved by the Board of Education which shall include, but not be limited to funding new costs necessary for
- Attracting and retaining quality staff;
- Maintaining and improvements in English, Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and other programs;
- Replacement of books, materials and supplies;
- Extending useful life of school buildings; and
- Continuing to meet everchanging technology needs,
And shall such property tax rate be in addition to the property taxes the school district would otherwise levy without such increase, and shall the district collect, deposit into the general fund, retain and expend all revenues derived from such tax and any earnings from the investment thereof, as a voter approved revenue change and an exception to limits which would otherwise apply under Article X, Section 20 of the Colorado Constitution or any other law?
