Centennial City Council
This Press Release for a District 1 Race in 2013 demonstrates how this City Council is conservative, even among Democrats. City council races are ran in a bipartisan fashion, and tend to attract more moderates. In the last few years, city council members have acted in a fairly bipartisan manner, and have been open to compromising and working together. However, the lack of progressive voices prevents subjects like renewable energy from being considered.
Tea Party presence
Mayor and council members serve 4-year terms, with a max of 2 consecutive terms. Pro-Tem is voted by council.
City incorporated in 2001.
