Regular municipal elections are on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in April of even years.
Mayor is elected at-large by voters and serves a two-year term.
Trustees are elected at-large and serve a four-year term.

Petitions began circulating Tuesday January 2nd, 2018
Prospective candidates need to get at least 10 valid signatures from registered electors in Erie. Registered electors can only sign one petition for Mayor and up to three petitions for Trustees.
Completed petitions were due by 5:00pm on Monday January 22nd, 2018.
Ballots will be mailed to voters by the Erie Town Clerk by the week of March 22nd, 2018.

At least 17 candidates have taken out petitions.
