Taxes
HB 18-1022: Requires the Department of Revenue to issue a request for information for an electronic sales and use tax simplification system that would provide administrative simplification to the state and local sales and use tax system.

HB-1185: Receipts for the sale of services or from the sale, and services are apportioned to Colorado based not on where the service is performed, but where the service is delivered. This new law helps prevent service companies from double taxation. (Bill based on the most recent multistate tax commission's uniform model.)

HB 17-1090: The bill extends the tax credit for qualified investors who make an equity investment in a qualified small business prior to January 1, 2023.

HB 16-1187: The bill creates sales and use tax exemptions for food and food packaging to be consumed by residents on the premises of a retirement community, which includes assisted living residences, nursing homes that provide continuous nursing care, and independent living facilities providing services to residents age 55 and older.


Health
SB 18-027: Authorizes Colorado to join the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC), this bill will expand the nursing pool in Colorado

SB 18-065: Adds health maintenance organizations (HMOs) as members of the Colorado Life and Health Protection Association, and allocating responsibility for long-term care insurance assessments between health and life insurance association members. The association may impose an assessment on member insurers in order to pay the costs of outstanding claims in the event an insurer is impaired or insolvent

HB 16-1103: Helps to increase the number of licensed mental health professionals, strengthen the supervision of licensure candidates, and decrease bureaucracy in earning a professional license.

IECs/PACs

In accordance to Colorado law, electioneering of $1,000 or more is required to be reported if done within 30 days of a primary or 60 days of a general election (Source: Campaign Finance Manual via the State Secretary of State's office, page 33). Further, any donation to or expenditure by an IEC must be reported within 48 hours of receipt or payment (page 32).

Reports containing electioneering in 2018 will have windows between May 27th through the June 26th, and then again beginning September 7th through November 6th.
